Tanjung Aru Beach House is a local surf experience based at Tanjung Aru Beach, just minutes from Kota Kinabalu city and the international airport.
We specialise in beginner-friendly surf lessons designed for first-timers, travellers, and anyone curious to try surfing in Sabah. Our sessions focus on simple coaching, ocean awareness, and helping guests stand up on their first waves in a relaxed and safe environment.
Our instructors are active members of the Sabah surfing community and have experience competing and coaching locally and internationally. Whether you’re visiting Kota Kinabalu for a short trip or just looking for something different to do by the beach, we make surfing accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
All lessons are private or small-group sessions, with personalised coaching and photos included so you can focus on the experience.
Located right on Tanjung Aru Beach, our surf house is one of the easiest places in Kota Kinabalu to step into the ocean and try surfing for the first time.
